Sister Sin are a superb band with no bullshit to their sound - just raw, mean and melodic hard rock with a metal edge. Every year as long as I can remember,
I've ended December with 'Next year will be MY year', or 'Next year
is the year everything changes at last', or some such vague nonsense.
The thing is, this year stuff DID change, and change in ways that I

I wasn't holding my breath for this film to do much for me, to be honest. I loved BATMAN BEGINS, but openly despised THE DARK KNIGHT. It just didn't work for me at all. However, this just-released trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES looks amazing. I'm sold.

I don't often write personal posts here, but...

It's late. My girlfriend is asleep. I was out cold earlier, but now I'm awake and typing nonsense. I'm listening to the songs that defined me 5-10 years ago (and a few from a bit further back), and these tunes are bringing back a flood of memories that are at once infuriating and fascinating. Freaks is a fun read for existing fans, but it's not perfect. Aw man, now I have even less reason to
go and see the pointless David Fincher-helmed remake of The Girl With
The Dragon Tattoo. Billed as an adaptation of the book rather than a
remake of the original Swedish film adaptation, it somehow manages to
show off pretty much the whole film in a needlessly lengthy three and
a half minutes of running time.

I'm addicted to Facebook, this is common knowledge, but the latest batch of changes is sending even me up the bloody wall in paroxysms of apoplectic rage. The changes, which (as ever) you can't opt-out of, have turned our already botched feeds into the social media version of the Bloomberg TV channel. Information overload ahoy!
